[PLUG] simple plotting question for 'R'

I'm trying to learn to use the statistics package R 
(http://www.r-project.org/).  I want to produce a simple scatterplot of 
data, with the y-axis origin at 0.  But I can't find anywhere in the 
provided documentation that explains a way of setting origin points for 
axes.

Anyone out there have experience with this software?
