APC SmartUPS. FreeGeek sells used, tested ones but you may have to
get your own special serial cable.
For software, I strongly recommend NUT. http://www.networkupstools.org/
Supports lots of different UPSes and allows you to shut down multiple
PCs if they're all plugged into the same UPS. Also there are some
nice monitoring widgets that talk to NUT.
