[PLUG] dansguardian and K12LTSP

At our last user meeting ( North Idaho Linux User Group - nilug.org ) we
tried to get dansguardian working with a k12ltsp server and thin clients.

We would prefer having it all happen on the server without dealing with
configuring firefox and locking it down for each user.

Lots of searches and reading turned up conflicting information; from
using ipchains ( verses iptables ) to "it should work out of the box."
None of them worked.

We, all that were actively working on this, agreed that whiskey wouldn't
help and aspirin were not as enjoyable ( for the iptables stuff. ) Lots
of head aches.

Has anyone on the list done this?

There is a server with two NICs -- eth0 connected to a switch and the
thin clients and eth1 connected to "the Internet". Since this is going
into a "shelter" the configuration needs to be simple and robust. ( Did
I just say Linux? ).

TIA,
Rod
