[PLUG] An Alternative to Knoppix

   Those of you with a scientific perspective might be interested in the
Quantian live CD <http://dirk.eddelbuettel.com/quantian.html>. Based on
Knoppix, this bootable linux distribution devotes about 25% of the space to
scientific tools. Included are R, Octave, GRASS, and LyX.

   Like Knoppix, burn copies and give 'em away. It looks like a good one for
technical folks.
