The other popular dead-tree book is Linux Kernel Development, by
Robert Love.  Currently 2nd edition from Novell Press, *extremely*
bright red cover.

Both of these books cover the 2.6.10 kernel.  Changes in API stuff
since then can be found at http://lwn.net/Articles/2.6-kernel-api/
