We bought top-of-the-line warranties on a couple of Dell laptops a
few years ago. They saved our butts. One laptop just had bad luck.
It had a bad motherboard within the first couple of months. The
screen went bad a few months later. Dell fixed both problems without
complaint.

Our CEO is *real* tough on laptops. The second laptop has been
completely replaced (one part at a time) a couple of times over. Dell
even replaced the broken plastic case after he drove off with the
laptop on top of his car. Dell Support never had one word of
complaint.

The Dell Customer Call Center in India was next to useless. The
only way to get service was to stay "on script". On *their* script.
Strange things could happen when you went "off script". We finally
got decent service when they switched us to the "corporate" support
line down in TX.
