All of my friends and relatives are either on Yahoo or MSN for IM and so I
hadn't used a Jabber server up until the announcement was made at work. GAIM
is simple enough to setup and works quite well the company Jabber server
which allows me to keep in touch with colleagues that work in other parts of
the country.
