This is appears to be a know bug and relates to NVidia cards.  Have a 
look at the following bug report:

If these don't directly help, make sure that you've upgraded to the 
latest RPMs.  Also try changing "nv" to "vesa" and see if that solves 
the mouse issues when restarting X...if so then it's probably definitely 
with the "nv" driver.
