I said I would after my bout with ndiswrapper going from Hoary to
Breezy, and I did so on the R3000 wiki:

http://prinsig.se/weekee/index.php/Main_Page

But I didn't write anything additional about it after going to Dapper
because fixing it under Dapper turned out to be pretty trivial. And I
didn't write up anything on the NVidia driver because it went without
problems for me -- the instructions I found on the Ubuntu 64-bit forum
worked, so why repeat what was already written?

As for my other trials, mostly they have been documented here and a few
on the Ubuntu 64-bit forum. You can search there for posts under my
name there:

http://ubuntuforums.org/forumdisplay.php?f=134

Not that I have found a lot of solutions myself. But the threads often
contain fixes to my problems that others have contributed.

Note that I am not currently using the NVidia drivers. The only reason
I installed them to begin with was because I couldn't get movies to
play with the open source driver. But with Dapper the open source
driver has no problems with movies, so I just left well enough alone.
