[PLUG] Wireless bridge to LAN

OK, here's what I want to do: I need to get my home LAN out to my garage
from my office without running a cable down the hall, through the
family room, laundry room, and out into the garage where my workbench
and tools and stuff lives. Basically, it's a "wireless bridge" - an
802.11 receiver with LAN ports on it. Sort of a reverse wireless
router. I know I can do this with a small system with a wireless
interface and a LAN interface, but that is (a) big; (b) noisy; (c) not cool.

Any of you network wizards out there got any ideas? I have searched the
internets to no avail.
