It was, indeed, entirely on the Windows computer.  My guess would be it
was due to the high traffic flowing either over USB or your network from
the copy.  Next time you get a BSOD on Windows, try and see if there is
a driver associated with it.. you should be able to see the BSOD
information in the Windows Event Viewer if you want to diagnose the one
you already had.
