OK, I'm at Freegeek, on their wifi, and guess what? While in the chroot environment if I ping pdx.edu I go nowhere. If I exit to the 64-bit world and ping pdx.edu it returns 131.252.120.50. So then if I go back to chroot and ping 131.252.120.50 it finds the address. So it's a DNS issue. Now, how to fix it?
