Yes - I use NX at work now. It's a fun product, but it's so old there are some
legacy clunkies in it carried over from the paleo-text-adventure-gaming era
of computing history. It's 2006, and to convert a drawing from in to mm you
close, exit, and type in a command line! Hilarious!

NX 4 is supposed to be even more stable and robust than ever. I wondr how much
1 seat costs nowadays?

At home I use SolidWorks on Windoze, becuase it was affordable for a solid
modeler, and I am a user-level person when it somes to Linus (like this box.)

I am too afraid to fiddle with this one, because if it breaks I know I'd never
be able to get it going myself, so I don't really do installs or maintenance
on it. I like Linux because it's secure and runs for 2 - 4 years between
upgrades

New question: I am wondering about SuSE 10. If I plop a bunch of disks in and
run them, do Linux instll act nice and find other, older distros' suff like
all my emails, etc? Also, I have a firewall/router from my DSL company. Would
Suse 10 autodetect IP's and all that stuff from the inside? I can feed it
user/pw combo's all day, but that's all I'd know how to do.

Advice on SusE?
