[PLUG] Help with Acer Laptop

Hello!

I have a Acer Aspire 1800 running Kubuntu. Worked great until a few days ago. It now powers on for about 5 seconds and then shuts down. SO I guess it is not even getting to the OS.

I have taken the battery out of it and placed it back in thinking this would reset the BIOS. This did not help.
I took the battery out completely and tried to start it up. No go.

It does not stay on long enough to read a cd, I do not have a 3 1/2 in floppy.

Does anyone have a suggestion?
