I have Dual 1019 which has served very well, but it has a rumble or a low
frequency resonance. It is inaudible, but it takes up considerable dynamic
range. I have been unable to isolate the cause.

On rim-drive Duals the part that wears out is the idler. They are no longer
manufactured, and replacement idlers cost in the $60-$70 range. If your Dual
has a good idler, and you are considering selling the machine, I would like to
talk to you.

I would also like to get some advice on using gramofile--I found the
documentation confusing. But Audacity does not have the automatic scratch
removal capability that gramofile is said to have.
