[PLUG] TV tuner Card

I have a card in a computer that was given to me that SuSE read as 
something very similar to this.  Ubuntu 5.10 reads it as a Brooktree 
Corp. Bt878 Video Capture.  Below that is listed Bt878 Audio Capture 
(digital, analog, and ALSA control device).  It shows Hauppage computer 
works, Inc. as the OEM vendor, and is a WinTV series.
I do not know what this card actually does.  I haven't had the time to 
Google it and figure it out.
