See http://pdxruby.org/ as far as FOSCON goes. They don't have anything
on the site yet, but there is a planning meeting coming up. If you
want to get involved, show up at that and/or the next meeting or just
ping the irc channel.
Also, http://oscamp.org/ (needs editing.) We do have a location in the
conference hall and support from O'Reilly. The format is wiki-camp, so
while it's not "free presentations", it should be interesting.

So malloc calls a timeout and starts rummaging around the free chain,
sorting things out, and merging adjacent small free blocks into larger
blocks. This takes 3 1/2 days.
