[PLUG] NTFS Support?

Can anyone offer advice on the state and stability of NTFS support.  I just
bought a 300 gig' HD for backups, and apparently that's too large for FAT32.
I have Gentoo with kernel 2.6.oh.hell.i.dont.know.offhand on my laptop, and
I'd like to use the drive with that as well as with WinXP.  Is linux NTFS
support solid, or should I use EXT3 or reiser?
