The best way to copy from one usb device to another is to get a usb
device crossover cable with an inductive serial tap. Attach one of the
devices to reversed-polarity AC current to initiate the peer-to-peer
mode. Then attach the receiving end of the IST to your serial port and
connect to it with your favorite terminal emulator. Follow the
on-screen instructions.
Of course, you might not be able to get all of the needed hardware until
April 2nd. By then the technology will have moved on and this
procedure won't work anymore. Should you find yourself in such a
situation, there's always 'man dd', though you'll only get half of the
transfer rate that way.
