I guess I don't see the point of doing this -- driving down to Fry's, 
buying a machine about which you have no clue on Linux compatibility, 
attempting to bring Linux up on it, failing, and bringing it back. 
What's in it for you, when you can go out on the web and probably find 
something for sale that works at least better than what you got? I'm 
really curious -- I can't imagine myself doing that. There are plenty of 
other things that work almost 100 percent but need a little tweaking, 
and I'm in the mood for some serious driver/hardware hacking, there's 
Gumstix or other inexpensive toys.
