I used it  about 3 years ago and did a clone of a machine and it took
_forever_  and this was across a 100Mbps switched LAN.  It might be quicker
to boot with a LiveCD and mount another machine as NFS and just dd the
target drive to the NFS server for backup purposes but I haven't tried it
yet :-)
