Er, ... wired. Here's with the wireless card installed:

eth1 is not running.

Or, the MAC? This is why I've been going in circles. All indications are
that the wireless networking should be good, but it's not.

And how to I do this if I cannot ping or access any host on the LAN? As
you see above, I can't get there. Sigh.
