But I appreciate your help.

The first problem is that the default size seems to be buried somewhere I know 
not of.

The second problem is trying to get to the native resolution with the present 
card, (which was tactfully point out to me is NVIDIA Corporation NV18 [GeForce4 
MX 440 AGP 8x])

The third problem is to locate a digital output video card which meet Keith's 
requirement of not draining Bonneville.
