Progress, but only partial. display shows different pages of the .tif
file than what the GIMP does. It shows about 1-1/2 pages as white on
black. Unfortunately, when I try to right click and print, after
selecting the "letter" format, display quits with a segmentation fault.

After trying that, I decided to try the GIMP once more. It occurred to
me to try moving between layers. That doesn't seem to work, but if I
delete a layer, the one below it appears. I can print each layer, and
they appear to be in reverse order -- last page on top.

So, for the time being, I have a work around. Hopefully, I won't run
into .tifs too often. Most people use .pdfs.

Thanks for the ideas.
