[PLUG] Fedora 7 install troubles

Hi List,
I decided to give Fedora 7 a spin and so its not gone so well. I downloaded
both the i386 and x86_64 DVD ISO's and both boot to the splash screen where
I can choose which option to use for install; graphical, text mode or
rescue. Regardless of the selection the image starts to boot vmlinuz, then
initrd and then drops me back to a boot prompt with the following: "boot:
dos call attempted".

Google so far has yielded little help other then pointing to possible issues
with syslinux. Any suggestions on what I might want to try in order to
troubleshoot?
