Routing differences would be my first guess.  Can you compare 'netstat
-rn' on the AIX and Linux boxes to see if there are any special routes?
Also, you might check the firewall settings on your Linux boxes; AIX
comes up wide open by default, but a lot of Linux distributors these
days enable a fairly restrictive firewall by default.
