Topic: PostgreSQL monitoring

Ever wanted a command-line tool for monitoring PostgreSQL? ptop is the
answer! Derived from the UNIX utility top, ptop automates some of the
most common troubleshooting queries. This talk will provide an
introduction to PostgreSQL monitoring, supported features in ptop, and
plans for future development.

Features include:

    * List of currently running queries
    * Viewing query plans
    * Viewing locks
    * View current user table and index statistics
    * Deltas on statistics at configurable intervals

Development is active, and the tool is currently supported on *BSD and
Linux, with a Mac OS X port on the way.
