Drew,
This is part of the frustration. As I wrote in an earlier message (easily
overlooked, I know), there are no entries more recent than Nov. 29th in
either error_log or access_log. That was the weekend I upgraded the server
to -12.0.
The last entry is typical:
Error: could not connect to server: No such file or directory
Is the server running locally and accepting
connections on Unix domain socket "/tmp/.s.PGSQL.5432"?
Compilation failed in require at /usr/local/sql-ledger/login.pl line 85.
[Sat Nov 29 11:50:17 2008] [notice] caught SIGTERM, shutting down
Yes, the socket is present:
srwxrwxrwx 1 postgres users 0 2008-12-10 06:04 /tmp/.s.PGSQL.5432=
-rw------- 1 postgres users 26 2008-12-10 06:04 /tmp/.s.PGSQL.5432.lock
The lack of information on why I see either 'access denied' or 'internal
server error' makes it very difficult to isolate the problem and fix it.
Many thanks,
Rich
