Hmm, very interesting to me that I could make Linux support possible
via replacement of a chip. How do I find a mod chip for the Playstation
II these days? How does going the mod chip route affect using the
Playstation II as a Playstation II? Because Linux is under the GPL,
isn't Sony wrong to sell a proprietary Linux installation DVD anyways?

I suppose the Playstation II only runs at 300 mhz and I guess it is
limited to 32 megs of ram, but that is good enough for simple C
programming if I can get gcc on it. Out of curiosity, has anyone
upgraded the amount of memory in their PS/2 successfully?
