This didn't look like a great endorsement of the motherboard, the NIC
wasn't recognized and  he had to go through some strange hoops to do
the installation.

The reviews for the motherboard here
http://www.newegg.com/Product/ProductReview.aspx?Item=N82E16813188034
are also not so encouraging.
