Victor,
Why not just ignore it? Nothing says you need to use it. There's a tool
bar on both the console and X Window System versions. Sometimes they're
handy, the rest of the time I use the keyboard alone.

Because it's there does not mean you must -- or will -- rely on it. You'll
learn to use emacs much more quickly by using it. When you need to do
something you don't know how to do, you'll learn it. IMO, it's much more
important to use tools as a means to an end rather than making the tool an
end in itself.
