[PLUG] gnome or gdm default umask

Hi,

I've noticed that my umask is set to 0022 when I login to gnome. If I
login to the console, my umask is 0002, as per /etc/bashrc. To my
knowledge, none of my dot files contain a umask command. What
controls the umask in a gnome gui login? My searches haven't turned
up a definitive answer. Setting the umask to 0022 sort of defeats the
purpose of user private groups.

This is on a CentOS 5.2 machine.

thanks,
galen
