[PLUG] recommended ldap tools

What tools are recommended for manipulating user and group data stored 
in ldap?  I'm looking for ldap replacements for the following:

useradd
userdel
vigr or groupadd and groupdel
vipw

I've tried passwd, and it seems to be doing the right thing, but 
useradd definitely does not.

Do the redhat gui tools for user and group management work properly in 
an ldap environment?

Note that this is for a very small ldap deployment(< 30 users).
