Related to my last post, here is the end of /var/log/fsck/checkfs:

/dev/sda3 contains a file system with errors, check forced.
/dev/sda3: Inode 1859614, i_blocks is 16, should be 8.  FIXED.
/dev/sda3: Duplicate or bad block in use!
/dev/sda3: Multiply-claimed block(s) in inode 1859716: 7458856
/dev/sda3: Multiply-claimed block(s) in inode 1859750: 7439300
/dev/sda3: Multiply-claimed block(s) in inode 1859751: 7439301
/dev/sda3: Multiply-claimed block(s) in inode 1859782: 7458856
/dev/sda3: Multiply-claimed block(s) in inode 1860078: 7439300 7439301
/dev/sda3: (There are 5 inodes containing multiply-claimed blocks.)

/dev/sda3: File /rsteff/.gnome-hearts.cfg (inode #1859716, mod time Mon
Sep 22 14:36:07 2008)
  has 1 multiply-claimed block(s), shared with 1 file(s):
/dev/sda3:      ... (inode #1859782, mod time Mon Sep 22 11:56:04 2008)
/dev/sda3:

/dev/sda3: UNEXPECTED INCONSISTENCY; RUN fsck MANUALLY.
        (i.e., without -a or -p options)
fsck died with exit status 4
