unfortunately it is dieing.  qwest's new fiber to the node (fttn) product 
doesn't allow 3rd party isps to provide service.  and as they roll this 
out, they stop allowing new customers to get the older style dsl.  as one 
of those 3rd party isps, i'm not happy.
