Hi,

I installed debian on my laptop.

I am using epiphany and iceweasel.
I followed the instruction from adobe's website to install flash:

Installation instructions for tar.gz

       1. Click the download link to begin installation. A dialog box
will appear asking you where to save the file.
       2. Save the .tar.gz file to your desktop and wait for the file
to download completely.
       3. Unpackage the file. A directory called
install_flash_player_10_linux will be created.
       4. In terminal, navigate to this directory and type
./flashplayer-installer to run the installer. Click Enter. The
installer will instruct you to shut down your browser(s).
       5. Once the installation is complete, the plug-in will be
installed in your Mozilla browser. To verify, launch Mozilla and
choose Help > About Plug-ins from the browser menu.

As root in the following directory......

/home/victor/Desktop/install_flash_player_10_linux# ls -la
total 9944
drwxr-xr-x 2 victor victor 4096 2009-02-02 18:06 .
drwxr-xr-x 4 victor victor 4096 2009-04-17 12:44 ..
-r-xr-xr-x 1 victor victor 21701 2009-02-02 18:06 flashplayer-installer
-rwxr-xr-x 1 victor victor 10131640 2009-02-02 18:06 libflashplayer.so

I run the command....

./flashplayer-installer

The installation program runs and eventuall says...

Please enter the installation path of the Mozilla, Netscape,
or Opera browser (i.e., /usr/lib/mozilla):

at which point I type.....

/usr/lib/mozilla

because that path does exist on my system
but I keep getting......

WARNING: Please enter a valid installation path.

Please enter the installation path of the Mozilla, Netscape,
or Opera browser (i.e., /usr/lib/mozilla):

I also get the WARNING: above when I type in

/usr/lib/iceweasel
/usr/lib/epiphany

How do I get flash to work with epiphany and iceweasel?

Sincerely,
Victor Soich
