[PLUG] Routing problem...

Wow, this is just a ton of info to take in and make sense out of. It
hurts my brain trying to parse it all.

If I had my druthers, I would love to run an app the would ping, trace, and
visually map all the network connectivity. I've been looking for one, 
but thus
far haven't found one that does exactly that.

Each time I look at the diagram, I can't help but think if you replaced 
all the
switches w. routers and off load the routing that would somehow 
magically make
everything better.

But maybe not, maybe because of your traffic requirements maybe 
implementing
VLANs would make the most sense. I say this because with VLANs you can 
create
networks based on MAC address, protocol, or ip address. And with 802.1 q 
tagging
a single host can participate in many different VLANs.

Man, this is just one of those problems that's just going to eat away at 
me...
