[PLUG] startup warnings question

All
I am scratching my head over this ... nothing I have read/googled makes
any lights go on so far ... below is a partial listing of my
/var/log/messages after a restart this morning, with particular note of
the second line from the top, and lines 6 through 3 from the bottom -
all pointing to "/var/run/dbus/system_bus_socket". The lone line above
the listing is the result of "ls /var/run/dbus/system_bus_socket". To
my admittedly limited knowledge, the system is and has been running fine
- but as I said, what do I know?

The only problem the box is exhibiting that I know of is an
intermittent, random, sort of raspy sound that I associate with a fan
getting ready to bum out - only I have not been able to pinpoint the
origin of the noise even with a listening tube.

Any insights (on either or both)?

Thank you in advance for any help you may be able to offer
Regards
Fred James
