[PLUG] SATA2 controller card

I have a computer with a VIA KT600 motherboard.  Just purchased a new
SATA2 hard drive, half hoping that SATA2 would be backward compatible
with SATA1.  Turns out it is not.  So I am looking for a cheap but
adequate SATA2 controller card to hold me over until I can replace the
motherboard/CPU/memory with something more modern.

Is there an especially good choice for a card that you would
recommend?  Using the vanilla 2.6.27.10 kernel at the moment on an x86
architecture.
