American copyright law is a bloated, convoluted, beaurocratic mess. If 
he's really concerned protecting his copyrights he really should contact 
a lawyer that specializes in copyright law. Here you're just going to 
get the opinions of random people who happen to like unix.


Do not be afraid to joust a giant just because some people believe in 
windmills.
