the worm won't infect the linux boxes, but it is completely unknown what 
will happen on april 1 when the worm reaches out for new instructions.  it 
could turn every infected machine into a full bandwidth data source, or 
any other kind of nasty thing can could certainly impact any system on the 
internet.  it all depends on how warped the minds are that can access one 
of the thousands of domains that conficker may check for new instructions.
