This is a kernel problem. You say you are using openSuse 11.2 with a 2.6.31
kernel. OpenSuse 11.3 is out with a 2.6.34 kernel. Upgrading your kernel
within 11.2 or upgrading to 11.3 is likely to solve your problem.
