[PLUG] Software in the Public Interest

As per usual, I'm probably the last one to know about this organization. 
But one thing I want to more of this year is to get involved more w. 
orgs like SPI [http://www.spi-inc.org/]. Who are supporting the doing of 
good work...

SPI is a non-profit organization which was founded to help organizations 
develop and distribute open hardware and software. We encourage 
programmers to use the GNU General Public License or other licenses that 
allow free redistribution and use of software, and hardware developers 
to distribute documentation that will allow device drivers to be written 
for their product.

The projects which SPI has chosen to support are all consistent with our 
set of goals.
