I've owned HP, Dell, Toshiba, and IBM/Lenovo laptops. My personal 
experience has been that the Thinkpad line of laptops is a far superior 
product in terms of build quality, functionality, reliability, and 
upgradeability. The T60 I'm using/abusing now I bought refurbished 3 yrs 
ago...
