[PLUG] Starting X fails

   This goes under the category of 'if it ain't one thing, it's another.'

   A half hour ago I killed X (via the Xfce interface) and logged off the
host. I just logged back in to do a Google search and when I run 'startx' I
see it halt after a few lines of the scipt. And there it sits. There're no
error messages in /var/log/Xorg.O.log.

   Where should I start looking for a cause?

   I'll pursue this tomorrow morning because I'd rather have dinner now and
not futz with a new issue this evening.
