[PLUG] Using DNS information to close smtp port...

Just out of curiosity, have you looked at using any of the dns blacklists offered by sorbs or spamhaus? They're really easy to implement, anddo exactly what it seems like you're trying to do. These are my only spam protections built into my postfix +dovecot setup, and they work great.

If you are talking about spamcannibal and MailScanner, I have tried
them.  MailScanner I don't like because of the strange way it hooks
into postfix and there are a lot of steps to set it up.  
Spamcannibal is too confusing where I never have been able to get 
it working.  I have done research, email is not the easiest thing
to research.
