[PLUG] Solution to gnome-terminal behavior found

Gmail just destroyed an email reply that took me 1/2 to make...

The answer to the focus problem was found by changing a parameter
under the compiz screen0 settings.  I used the gconf-editor command to
open up the editor and to go to the appropriate location.  Metacity is
not used on my Ubuntu 10.04 Lucid OS, but compiz.

I can live with this partial solution now, and might look at what it
takes to force a gnome-terminal into a certain desktop issue.
