The issue I had with both Logitech and Creative webcams was that some of
them work and very similar ones don't. You have to know the USB ID to be
sure, but you can't check USB ID in the store on online. Also, USB IDs
published online tend to go obsolete, soon you won't be able to buy a webcam
with that ID even if you could check it. There will be a new ID, which may
work, but is not yet listed as working.
