   My Acer LCD monitor flickers when switching between text and graphical
modes. There's a message box in the screen center telling me that's what
it's doing.

   I don't use screen 'savers' but blank the screen. I see this adjustment
flicker when I start X and when I kill Xfce. Otherwise, not.
