   Found the solution in a linuxquestions.org thread. Don't know why I didn't
look there long ago, but I didn't. Sigh.

   Someone posted a termcap entry for urxvt/rxvt-unicode that I added to the
three termcaps here (plain, -BSD, and -Linux). Slackware uses termcaps,
other distributions might, too.

   Logged out and back in and ... HOO-HA! Line wrapping is back again.

Whew!
